DNS Application Engineer - Please send word doc – Simi Valley

We are seeking a DNS Application Engineer. This position will manage corporate DNS, maintaining a BlueCat DNS infrastructure, with additional BIND DNS Servers. Duties will include managing new domain name configurations, creating scripts for DR DNS failover, and troubleshooting DNS/Domain issues.



Troubleshoots on a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise.
May devise or modify department processes and procedures.
Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.
Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to manage day to day operations, set up functions, write documents, check e-mail or process information.
Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Must have at least 5 years of experience, preferably in a corporate web services environment, in the following:
Linux Environment
Windows Server Environment (2000, 2003)
DNS at an Enterprise level, including BIND
Strong understanding of TCP and Internet Protocols
Hardware support and troubleshooting experience
Network Security
Familiar with TFTP, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, SMTP and SNMP

Experience with the following a plus:
F5 3DNS.
Enterprise Level DNS Architecting.
UNIX Shell scripting.
Experience in a ISP style web hosting environment.
Experience hosting multiple sites in a shared environment.
Programming experience with Java, C, C++, or Javascript
