I. Job Summary
Serves as a company representative to the community, state and local officials, stakeholders, and businesses. Plans, prepares and disseminates complex and/or sensitive publicity and good-will information concerning the organization through various media channels.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
*Plans and directs the development and communication/delivery of information designed to keep public informed of company programs, accomplishments, or point of view.
*Develops and conducts educational programs for various community organizations and residents.
*Cultivates and improves community partnerships by attending and participating in public events, meetings, and other programs on behalf of the organization.
*Manages charitable, fundraising, and/or political contributions and public relations efforts.
*Prepares and files various reports for internal and external use, such as: lobbyist reports, campaign reports, fundraising reports.
*Coordinates the preparation and distribution of fact sheets, newsletters, photographs, scripts, or tape recordings to media representatives and other persons who may be interested in learning about or publicizing company activities or message.
*Purchases local advertising space and time as required.
*Maintains the library of advertising, print quality photos of company product and accessories, initiating procedure to get new photographs from advertising agency as needed.
*Researches data, creates ideas, writes copy, lays out artwork, contacts media representatives, or represents the company directly before general public.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Public Affairs or similar area of study, and three to five years of previous experience.
Preferred: Master's Degree or equivalent experience, in Public Affairs or similar area of study, and three to five years of previous experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Organizational, educational, and strong public relations/communications skills required.
